Dear Mr. Hunt,
Despite our numerous appeals to the Russian Sailing Federation to refrain from holding the sailing events in Crimea and recently declared official approach of WS Board on this issue, today in Sevastopol, Crimea, starts the Russian National Championship in windsurfing.
This action shows lack of respect for the rules, Regulations and decisions of the Federation from our Russian colleagues. From our point of view, Worlds Sailing shall review the conduct of Russian Sailing Federation in the above mentioned matter in frame of the WS Council meeting and apply sanctions to MNA not following its membership obligations in accordance to the WS Constitution.
I kindly ask you, Mr. Hunt, to include this issue to the Agenda of World Sailing Council meeting to be held during the Annual Conference. If you need any additional documents, I will be glad to provide any information on your request.
